It is a great idea to introduce students to history and culture by Travel in a group with a guide. The students are very interested in travel by the time they reach high school age. It becomes a part of most school curriculums to take a trip abroad. They will be normally escorted by a few teachers from the school and some parents as well. SOme times the school officials will even allow for they to earn the money so that the students can benefit from the fundraisers.
It is definitely an adventure to travel with students. Not all of the teachers who are chaperoning will call it a Travel vacation, they will feel more as if they need a vacation when they arrive home. The key to happy student tourists is to keep them busy. You will have to plan ahead to be sure it is an activity that they will enjoy. This is why it is recommended to plan the activities before you leave with the student discussing the options. Often some of the excursions involve a few and it is much easier if the fee is paid for ahead of time.
A great suggestion is to divide up into smaller groups so that everyone is sure to see everything they really want to see. Even if you all want to go to the same place, divide up into smaller groups and plan a time and place to meet in case someone gets lost.
Do not overlook the museums even if they complain about going, they will like it when they get there. Try some new ethnic foods and hot spots. Most student/teacher tours include a tour guide who may travel with you for part of the trip. He may be used to traveling throughout the towns at a quick pace so be sure to pay attention and keep up.

If you have never been on a cruise, take heart. Billions of people have never been on one, either. The simple fact is, a lot of the world’s population would only get on a boat if they wanted to travel across an ocean and had no air travel available. The sad thing is that they are depriving themselves of a very interesting vacationing experience. And when most of the people that you know have not had a particular life experience, that automatically makes it more fun to tell your stories, because you get to explain the little things (like how you have to do life vest tests every so often).
